a boy walks from his classroom to the bookshop about a street called out towards north covers a distance of 20 m in 25 seconds to reach the book shop after buying a book he travels the same distance in the same time to reach back in the classroom find the average speed and average velocity of the boy

Average speed=Total distance travelled /Total time taken

=(20+20)m / (25+25)sec=40 / 50=0.8 m/s

Average velocity = Total displacement /total time = 0/50 = 0 m/s
