time TO; 6/2.5 = 2.4 = 2h24m
time BACK; 6/5 = 1.2 = 1h12m
average speed; 12 : ( 2.4 + 1.2 ) = 3.33' = 3⅓ km/h
Or
AVERAGE SPEED = TOTAL DISTANCE / TOTAL TIME

TOTAL DISTANCE = 6 +6 = 12 km

TOTAL TIME = 6/2.5 + 6/5 = 12/5 +6/5 = 18/5 = 3.6 hours

AVERAGE SPEED = 12 /3.6 = 120/36 = 10/3 = 3.33 km/ hour ANSWER
Or
time TO; 6/2.5 = 2.4 = 2h24m
time BACK; 6/5 = 1.2 = 1h12m
average speed; 12 : ( 2.4 + 1.2 ) = 3.33' = 3⅓ km/

ranideepa848: Time=distance1/Speed1+distance2/speed2
ranideepa848: Time = 6/2.5+6/5
ranideepa848: Time=90/25
ranideepa848: Time = 3.6
ranideepa848: Avg.speed=6+6/3.6=10/3
ranideepa848: No
