A brass scale gives correct length at 0°C. Ifthe
temperature be 25°C and the length read by the
scale is 10 cm. Then the actual length will be

We cannot say because for calculating deformation in brass at temperature difference we need to know thermal expansion coefficient. By that value one can know expansion.
