A bread baker was preparing dough for bread. He added a pinch of yeast and sugar to the
dough and left it in a warm place. After a few hours, the dough had risen and there was a
sour smell.
Q4. Why did the dough rise and why was sugar added to the dough? Explain the process
through a diagram. What can you do If you want to prevent it from rising?
