Question :-

  • Q. A rectangle and square has the same perimeter, if the rectangle measures are 11cm by 33cm. calculate the area of the square.

Given :-

  • Length = 33cm. ( longest side)
  • Breadth = 11cm.
  • The perimeter of the square and rectangle is same.

To Find :-

  • The area of the square = ??

Let's make it :-

\bf \: Perimeter \: of \: the \: rectangle \: =  perimeter \: of \: the \: square \: \\  \bf \:   \implies \: 2(l + b)  = 4 \times side \\  \bf \:  \implies 2(33 + 11) = 4 \times side \\  \bf \:  \implies \: 88 = 4 \times side  \\  \bf \implies \: side =  \frac{ \cancel{88}}{ \cancel4}  \\  \bf \:  \implies side \:  = 22

The side of the square is 22cm.

\bf \therefore \: the \: area \: of \: square \:  =  \green  {\underline{ \underline{side}^{ \purple2} }}  \\  \bf \: = {\bold {\boxed{\boxed{\boxed{22cm}^{2}  = 484 {cm}^{2} \:\:☞\:\:ans.}}}}
