The one thing which is common in their motion is the centre of gravity which acts on the brick as well as the elephant.

Also they will fall on the ground at the same time in case the air resistance is missing.

So it does not matter whether it is a brick or an elephant because both of them will fall on the ground at the same level due to centre of gravity.
