A brick I'd 32cm long and 10cm wide and 10cm thick. it weighs 16N and is lying on the ground. find the pressure exerted by the brick on the ground.
please answer this. it's very urgent.

We know that pressure = Force/Area.
Given length = 32cm.
Given breadth = 10cm.
We know that Area = Length * breadth
= 32 * 10
= 320cm^2.
= 0.032m^2.
Given Force = 16N.
Now,
Pressure = 16/0.032
= 500 N/m^2
= 500 Pa.

Length = 32 cm or 0.32 m
Breadth = 10 cm or 0.10m
Height = 10 cm or 0.10m
Thrust it exerts on ground= 16 N
Area which touches the ground = 0.32m * 0.10m
= 0.032m²
Pressure = Force / Area
= 16N / 0.032m²
= 500N/m²
= 500 Pa
∴ Pressure exerted by the Brick = 500 Pa
