Given: A bucket full of water b weights 50kg, while half-filled weighs 30kg.

Let empty Buket weight be x kg and water weight be y kg.

x+y=50\\....(1)

x+\frac{y}{2}=30....(2)

Subtracting equation (1) and (2),

\frac{y}{2}=20

y=40 \ kg

substitute value of y in eq(1),

x=50-40\\x=10\ kg

Hence, empty bucket is 10 kg.
