A bucket is frustum shped .its height is 28 cm radii of circular faces are 12 cm and 15 cm find the capacity of the bucket

Radius of Lower part of the bucket(r)= 7 cm


Volume of the bucket = 1/3πh( R²+r²+Rr)


21560 = 1/3×22/7×h[(28)² + (7)² + 28×7)]


21560 = 1/3×22/7×h[ 784+49+196]


21560 = 1/3×22/7×h(1029)


21560 = 1/3×22/7× 1029H


H = 21560×3×7/22638


H = 452760/22638


H = 20 cm.


Slant height (L) = ✓(h)²+(R-r)²


= ✓(20)² + (28-7)²


= ✓400+441 = ✓841 = 29 cm


THEREFORE,


TSA of bucket = CSA of bucket + Area of Lower part of the bucket



= πL(R+r) + πr²
