A building has 8 circular cylindrical pillars of radius 0.5m and height 3.5m. then the expenditure to paint all the pillars at the rate of rs 50 per sq. m is?​

From the question , we have

Radius of one circular pillar (r)= 0.5 m.

Height of one circular pillar(h)= 3.5 m.

According to question , the CSA of one pillar = 2π(0.5)(3.5)m^2 = 11m^2 .

Thus , area required for painting = 8×11m^2 =88 m^2 .

Hence , cost of painting at the rate of ₹ 50 per sq. m=88×₹50= ₹4400
