Answer:

Energy of isolated photon is calculated by -

E=hc/lambda

E=(6.63 *10^-34 *3*10^8) / (4*10^-7)

E= 4.97 * 10^-19 J

No. of photon emitted per unit time is calculated by -

N=P/E

N=100/(4.97*10^-19 J)

N = 2*10^20 photons

therefore 2*10^20 photons are emitted.

Hope u have understood now

Have a good day dear .

Que. A bulb emit a light of wavelength 8000 . Find the number of photons emitted by the bulb per second if it consumes 100 watts power.

According to plank's Quantum theory

Every radiation consists of small packets of energy which are called quanta in case of light , it is also called as photon.

The quanta emitted or absorbed from any source will be a whole no.

The energy of quanta is directly proportional to its frequency

E = hv

The quanta emitted or absorbed from any source will be a whole no.

E = nhv
