A bulb with some resistance is connected in series with an inductor and both are connected to an A.C. source. Now an iron rod is inserted between the inductor, what would be the effect on the brightness of the bulb ???

Hey there!!!

When the iron rod is inserted between the inductor, the value of inductance increases, which decreases the current.
We can say the the voltage across the bulb decreases.
So, the brightness of the bulb will become less.

HOPE IT HELPS!!!
