a/q. initial speed(u)= 50m/s
final speed (v) = 0m/s
distance travelled = 10cm = 0.1 m
now from the relation,
v^2 = u^2+2as
(0)^2 = (50)^2 + 2×(-a)× 0.1
2500=2a/10
2a=25000
a= 12500 m/s^-2 = retardation
here -a is used because there is retardation instead of acceleration
