u = 20 m/s
v = 0
s = 0.01 m
v²-u²=2as
0²-20²=2×a×0.01
-400=0.02a
a= -400/0.02
a = -20000 m/s²

Given :
Initial Velocity = u=20m/s
final velocity=v=0 m/s
distance =s=0.01m
Acceleration=?
From the third equation of motion :
v²-u²=2as
0²-(20)²=2xax0.01
-400=2xax0.01
a= - 400 /2x0.01
   =-400x 100/2
 a  = - 20000m/s²
∴ Retardation produced is 20000m/s²
