this question is based on Horizontal projectile.
when a body projected with speed u horizontal direction from height H and body falls x distance from the initial position then, trajectory of projectile is H = gx²/2u²
where g is Acceleration due to gravity.
now, Here, H = 19.6m
x = 500m and , u = ? g = 9.8m/s²
so, 19.6 = 9.8(500)²/2u²
4u² = (500)²
take square root both sides,
2u = 500 => u = 250m/s
hence, speed of bullet is 250 m/s
