Final velocity,v=0(as bullet came to rest)

V=u+at
0=20+a(0.02)
a=-1000m/s²(-ve as the bullet is retarding)
Also,
S=ut+1/2at²
S=20(0.02)+1/2(-1000)(0.02)²
S=0.5m
