KE of the bullet = ½ mx^2
= ½ ×0.03×x^2
Work done by the bullet on the wood = Fs
= 187.5×0.80
By conservation of energy
KE = Work done
=> ½ ×0.03×x^2 = 187.5×0.80
=> x = √{(187.5×0.80×2)/0.03}
=> x = 100 ms^-1
