Answer:

v= 15m/s

Explanation:

using conservation of momentum

mass of gun × velocity of gun = mass of bullet× velocity of bullet

=> (6)×v = (0.3) ×(300)

=> v = 90/6

=> v = 15m/s

Answer:

let the recoil velocity be v2

m1=0.3kg, m2=6kg

u1=0m/s, u2=0m/s

v1=300m/s, v2=unknown

ACCORDING OF LAWS OF CONSERVATION OF MOMENTUM (m1u1+m2u2)=(m1v1+m2v2)

A/Q 0+0=(0.3×300+6×v2)

-90=6×v2

v2= -90/6

v2= -15m/s ANS.
