K.E. of the bullet is 25 J

Give, the mass of bullet (m) = 20gm = (20/1000)kg = 0.02kg.     [1 gm = 0.001 kg.]

Distance covered by bullet (D) = 50m

Time taken for the bullet to cover this distance (T) = 1s

We know, Speed (v) = D/T

Putting the values of D and T, we get,

v = (50/1) m s^-1 = 50 m s^-1

Kinetic Energy (K.E.) is given as :

K.E = (1/2) × m × v^2

= (1/2) × 0.02 × (50)^2

= 25 Joules (J)

So, the total K.E. of the bullet is 25 J
