Given,
Mass of the bullet m = 5\: gms = 0.005\: kg
Initial velocity of the bullet u= 100\: m/s
Final Velocity of the bullet will be zero.

Bullet penetrated the wooden Blocks up to 6 cm after hitting
s = 6\: cm = 0.06\: cm

--- \underline{\textbf{Step-1}} :

Find the Acceleration possessed by the bullet

Using the formula,
v^{2}-u^{2} = 2as

\implies 0-(100)^{2} = 2×a×0.06

\implies - (100)^{2} = 0.12a

\implies a = - \frac{10000}{0.12}

\implies a = - 83333.3\: m/s

Here,
The sign -ve just indicates that the bullet is slowing down as it strikes the wooden block.
(In other words, it is the Negative Acceleration of the bullet)

--- \underline{\textbf{Step-2}} :
Find the Average Force imposed on the wooden Block

Using the Formula,
F = m \times a

\implies F = 0.05 \times 83333.3
\implies F = 416.67\: kg-m/s

Therefore, the average force imposed on the wooden block is 416.7 N
