A bullet travelling at 100 m/s suddenly hits a
concreate wall. If all its K.E is converted into
heat what is the rise in temperature. Given
specific heat of bullet = 100 J/Kg-K.
1) 50 K
2) 20 K
3) 25K
4) 75 K

Answer:

Kinetic energy is used to increase its heat.

So, K.E=Q=1/2*m*v²

                =5000m, m is mass.

Now, Q=msΔT

5000M=M X 100 X ΔT

∴ ΔT = 50 K
