total distance=80 km
total time = 8 hour
distance travelled= 40 km
time consumed = 6 hour
distance left= 40 km
time left = 4 hour
speed required = 40/4
=10 km/ h

Answer:

The speed of the bullock cart should be 10 Km/hour.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total distance to be covered = 80 Km

Total time = 10 hours.

The distance which is covered = 40 Km

This distance is covered in 3 by 5 of total time

⇒ Time in which this distance is covered = 6 hours

So, distance left = 80 - 40 = 40 Km

Time left = 10 - 6 = 4 Hours

Now, Speed by which the rest of the distance is to be covered = 40 ÷ 4 = 10 Km/ Hour

Hence, The speed should be 10 Km/hour.
