A bus accelerates uniformly from 36 km/h to 54 km/h in 5s. Calculate: (i) the acceleration (ii) the distance covered by the bus.​

Given:-

→ u = 36km/hr = 36*5/18 = 10m/s

→ v = 54km/hr = 54*5/18 = 15m/s

→ t = 5 sec

Accelaration:-

we know that:-

a = v - u/t

→ a = 15-10/5

→ a = 5/5 = 1m/s²

Distance:-

by 3rd kinematical equation:-

v² - u² = 2as

→ (15)²-(10)² = 2(1)s

→ 225-100 = 2s

→ s = 125/2 = 62.5 m
