A bus decreases its speed from 60 km/h to 40 km/h in 5 s find the acceleration of the bus.

Answer:we know that,

From the first law of motion,

V=u+at

Here,v=60km/hr=60×5/18m/s=50/3m/s

u=40km/hr=40×5/18m/s=100/9m/s

t=5seconds

Apply these values in the above equation,

100/9=50/3+5a

20/9=10/3+a

a=20-30/9=-10/9

a=-1.11m/s²

So the bus is decelerating at the rate of-1.11m/s²...
