Initial Velocity = u = 72km/h = 72×5/18 =

=20m/s

Final Velocity =v = 54km/h = 54×5/18 =

=15m/s

Time = t = 10s

  • a = (v-u)/t

= (15-20)/10

= -5/10

= -1/2

= -0.5m/s²

° the acceleration is negative therefore it is retardation.

final speed ,v=54km/h or 15m/s

intial speed ,u=72km/h or 20m/s

time taken ,t =10s

acceleration ,a=??

we know that, a=(v-u)/t

a=(15-20)/10

=-5/10

=-0.5m/s
