Answer:

We know that a= \frac{v-u}{t}

Here u = 80km/h = 22.2 m/s

and v = 60 km/h = 16.6 m/s

t = 5 sec

Thus a = \frac{16.6-22.2}{5} = \frac{5.6}{5} = 1.12 m/s (approx)

Note:- You might think why I haven't put minus sign. Acceleration with "-" sign refers Retardation or deacceleration. So If retardation is asked, write without minus sign. Else with minus sign
