Answer :-

Given :

  • Initial speed = 20 km/h
  • Final speed = 60 km/h
  • Time taken = 10 s

To Find :

  • Acceleration

Solution :-

Firstly, Converting the units -

  • Initial speed = 20 km/hr = 20 × 5/18 = 5.55 m/s
  • Final speed = 60 km/hr = 60 × 5/18 = 16.66 m/s

Substituting the value in formula :-

→ a = ( v - u ) / t

→ a = 16.66 - 5.55 / 10

→ a = 11.11 / 10

→ a = 1.1

Acceleration = 1 m/s²
