A bus is moving with an initial velocity 'u' m/s. After applying brakes its retardation is 0.5m/s² and is stopped after 12s. find initial velocity 'u' and distance travelled by the bus after applying brakes​

a=-0.5m/s(retardation)

a=v-u/t

-0.5=0-u/12

-0.5*12=-u

u=6m/s

s=ut+1/2at^2

s=6*12+1/2*-0.5*12^2

s=72+1/2*-0.5*144

s=72-0.5*72

s=72-36

s=36m
