Bus starts at 3 pm and travelled for 1.5 hrs(t1) with 60 km/hr(s1)
After taking halt of 30 minutes, bus travelled for 1 hr(t2) with 50 km/hr(s2)
Distance covered = t1*s1 + t2*s2
                            = 1.5*60 + 1*50
                            = 90+50
                            = 140 km
Distance between Mumbai and Pune is 140km.

Answer:140km

Step-by-step explanation:

first of all we draw a state line from mumbai to pune , then starting point is that mumbai then last point is that pune.

then we find the distance , so right now i have t2 , t1 two have given so we take differnce =t2-t1 =6-3=3,

because i took starting point time 3 pm and reaching point time 6 pm so take difference then find 3 .

d1=s*t=60*1.5=90km(but it is not total distance it is only take for 1.5 hours).

it travel t=1.5+30 min = 2 hours.(1.5 and half hour)

means he took  2 hours so left time only 1 hour .So 1 hours he travels

d2=t*s=1*50=50km. Now add both distance d= d1+d2=90+50=140km.

So distance is that 140Km.
