A bus starting from rest moves with a uniform acceleration. if it travels 100 m in 5s what is the value of acceleration

meenakshi997sa: S= ut + 1/2 at^2. => 100= 0(t) + 1/2a(5×5). => 100×2/25=a. => a=8m/s^2

Here,
u = 0 \frac{m}{s}  \\ s = 100m \\ t = 5s
On applying 2nd eq. of motion, we get,
s = ut +  \frac{1}{2} a {t}^{2}
100 = 0 \times 5 +  \frac{1}{2} a {5}^{2}
Or,
100 =  \frac{25a}{2}
On solving,
a = 200 \div 25 = 8 \frac{m}{ {s}^{2} }
