A bus takes 48 minutes to cover a certain distance when travelling at a speed of 50 km/ h. How much time will it take to cover the same distance when travelling at a speed of 30 km/h?

Answer:

Given, Speed =50 km/hr =50/60=5/6 km/min

Time taken by bus to cover distance =48 min

Distance=speed×time=48×

=40 km

∴ Time it will take to cover 40 km at 30 km/h

= distance / speed  =40/30 =  

3 /5 hrs

=4×20 min

= 80 minutes.
