Answer:

The total distance cover by bus is 240 km .

Explanation:

Given as :

Total time to travel distance = 7 hours

Let The total distance cover by bus = x km

The speed for first half distance = 30 km/h

The speed for second half distance = 40 km/h

According to question

Time = \dfrac{distance }{speed}

Or, 7 = \dfrac{\dfrac{x}{2} }{30}  + \dfrac{\dfrac{x}{2} }{40}

Or, 7 = \dfrac{\dfrac{4x}{2}+\dfrac{3x}{2}  }{120}

Or, 7 × 120 = \dfrac{7x}{2}

or, 7 x = 7 × 120 × 2

∴      x = 240 km

So,  The total distance cover by bus = x = 240 km

Hence, The total distance cover by bus is 240 km . Answer
