Initial velocity(u)=54 km/hr                                                                                    initial velocity in m/s=54*5/18                                                                                                                =15 m/s                                                                                   time(t)= 8 s                                                                                                             final velocity = 0 m/s                                                                                               So,by applying equation of motion                                                                                 v=u+at                                                                                                                   0=15 m/s + a*8s                                                                                                 a= -15 m/s /8 s                                                                                                     a= -1.875 m/s^2
