A bus with velocity 25 m\s moves towards north and another car with velocity 20 m/s moves towards south from same point. how far each of them reach in 5 minutes? Also, calculate the distance between them after 5 minutes.

we know the bus is moving towards the north and car is moving towards south from the same point, means they are going opposite of each other.

distance covered by the bus in 5 minutes

-formula-

speed=distance/time

we will have to convert metre per second to metre per minute

so-

=25m/s * 60=1500m/min

let the distance be x

= 1500=x/5

= 7500meters or 7.5 km

now find the distance covered by car-

again, convert the metre per second to metre per minute

=20m/s * 60

=1200m/min

let the distance be X

applied formula-

1200=x/5

=6000 m or 6 km

now calculate the total distance between both the vehicles-

6km +7.5km=13.5 km or 13500 metres
