a bust starts from rest. if the acceleration of the bus is 0.5 m/s^2, what will be it's velocity at the end of 2 minutes and what distance will it cover during that time

Given:-

  • initial velocity u = 0 ( because the object starts from rest)

  • Acceleration = 0.5m^2

  • Time = 2 seconds

To Find :-

  • The Final Velocity and the distance travelled .

Solution:-

We know that acceleration = Change in velocity.

→From the First equation of the motion= v =u+at

→v = 0+0.5*2 = 1 m/s

→Hence v = 1 m/s

Now,

The second equation of motion s = ut+1/2at2

→s = 1/2*2+1/2*0.5*2*2

→ Distance s = 1meter
