Camels have thick padded foot that are spread wide while walking. This prevents the animal from sinking in the sand. Besides, the heavy weight of the camel’s body is spread across its four strong legs. A camel, moves both its legs on one side together and as it walks, it moves its body, in a rocking motion from side-to-side, giving it the momentum and speed to walk through sand.
