The number of campers is 720
The amount of food will last 35 days. That means;
i)Food consumed per day = 1/35 of the food.
ii)The amount consumed per day per person is 1/720 x 1/35= 1/25200
Therefore after 5 days amount of food consumed= 1/35 x 5= 1/7

fraction of food left after the 5 days is 6/7.

6/7 of the food would be enough for 720 workers for the next 30 days
how long will it take with 600 workers. (720 - 120= 600 workers)
1 person = 1/25200
then 600 people= 1/25200 x 600
                         = 6/252
total fraction left = 6/7 of the food

if 6/ 252 is the amount required for a day,
then 6/7 will last??

6/252= 1 day
6/7= 1 x 6/7 x 252/6

    36 days

The food will last 36 days after the 120 workers have left.
