A camp has provision for 60 pupils for 18 days.In hw many days the same provision wil finish off if the strength of the camp is increased to 72 puplis

so

$60:18::72:x$

on cross multiplying both side

$60x = 18×72$

$x = \frac{18×72}{60}$

$x = \frac{1296}{60}$

$x = 21.6$

so the camp would over in 21.6 days.
