A can do in 30 days. then A will do in 1 day=1/30. Now B can do in 40 days. so B will do in 1 day= 1/40. A & B togetherly do in 1 day=1/40+1/30=7/120. Now let 7/120 parts =7000rs. then 1/40parts=7000÷7/120×1/40=7000×120/7×1/40=3000

So, in 1 day B can build = 1/40th part
Let the ratio of the part of their work
A:B = 1/30 : 1/40 = 4:3
Let the common ratio for the shares to be divided be x
So,
A got = Rs 4x
B got = Rs 3x
According to the problem

or, x = 1000
