A can complete a piece of work in 8 days and b can complete the work in 10 days and c in 12 days. b and c together worked for 3 days, then c left the work and a replaced him. in how many days will the remaining work be completed ?

A can complete a work in 18 days.
B can complete a work in 10 days .
and C can complete a work in 12 days.
work done by B and C
= 1/10 +1/12 =11 /60
now they both done the work in 3 days
so, 11/60×3 = 11/20
now, remaining work
= 1 - 11/ 20 = 9/20 ............... (1)
then, C left and A replaced him .
so,
1/8 + 1/ 10 = 9/40 .............. (2)
comparing equipment. (1 )and (2) ,
we get,
9/40 = 9/ 20
we get ,
2 days
so the remaining work will complete in 2 day.
