A can complete a work in 16 days and B in 12 days. Starting with A, they work on alternate days. The total work will be completed in how many days?​

Work rate of A = 100/16 = 6.25% per day. B alone can complete the work in 12 days. Work rate of B = 100/12 = 8.33% per day. A and B together work rate = A + B = 6.25 + 8.33 = 14.58% per day
