Step-by-step explanation:

A can work a piece of work = 10 days

1 day's work= 1/10

B can do a piece of work = 15 days

1 day's work = 1/15

total work = 5/30 = 30/5

remaining work = 1-30/5 = 25/5 = 5

ANS.... remaining work done by B = 5 days

Answer:

A CAN DO THE WORK IN 15 DAYS.

B CAN DO THE WORK IN 10 DAYS.

TOGETHER THEY CAN DO THE WORK IN = 1/(1/15+1/10 )=30/ ( 2+3)=6

IT IS NOT CKEAR WHETHER THEY ARE WORKING TOGETHER OR B ALONE THE WORK.

ASSUMING THAT B WORKS IN ALONE AND LEAVES AFTER 5 DAYS ,50% OF THE WORK WOULD HAVE BEEN COMPLETE.

THEN FOR COMPLETING THE BALANCE , WORK A WILL NEED =15/100 * 50 = 7 . 5DAYS.

IF THEY HAVE WORKED TOGETHER AND B LEAVES AFTER 5 DAYS , THEN 5/6 TH OF THE WORK , WOULD HAVE BEEN OVER

HENCE,

FOE FINISHING THE BALANCE WORK ,A WILL TAKE =15 * 1/6 = 2.5 DAYS.
