A can do in 12 days 1 part of work.

So, A can do in 1 day 1/12 part of work.

A had done in 2 days ((1/12) * 2) =1/6 part of work.

Remaining work = (1- 1/6) = 5/6 part.

B finishes the remaining work in (8-2)= 6 days.

So, B do 5/6 part of work in 6 days.

B can do 1 part of work in (6÷(5/6)) = 36/5 =7.2 days.
