A can do a piece of work in 25 days and B can do it in 20 days.They work at it together for 5 days and then A goes away.In how many days will B finish the remaining work?

• Time taken by A to finish the work alone = 25 days
• Time taken by B to finish the work alone = 20 days
• Work done by A alone in 1 day = 1 / 25 th part of work
• Work done by B alone in 1 day = 1 / 20 th part of work
• Work done by (A + B) in one day = 1/25 + 1/20 = 9/100 th part
• Work done by (A + B) in 5 days = 9/100 * 5 = 9/20
• Work remaining = 1 - 9/20 = 11/20
• Time taken by B alone to finish the remaining work = 11/20 * 1/20.
