Step-by-step explanation:

A can finish a work in 12 days, and B can do it in 15 days. After I had worked for 3 days, we also join A to finish the remaining part of the body. In how many days the work will be finished?

LCM of 12 and 15 =60

Hence consider the quantum of work to be 60 units.

A can finish the job of 60 units in 12 days.. ..Hence, per day A does 5 units of work.

Similarly, B does 4 units of work per day.

For 3 days, A does the job alone…..which means he completes 5*3=15 units of work.

Hence balance work remaining = 60–15 = 45 units

A and B combined can finish (5+4)=9 units of work per day.

They will take 45 units / 9 units/day =5 days to complete the remaining work.
