A can do whole work in = 20 days

A's 1 day work = 1/20

B can do whole work in = 12 days

B's 1 day work = 1/12

B worked at it for = 9 days

Part of work done by B = 9/12 = 3/4

Part of remaining = 1 - 3/4 = 1/4

A will do the remaining part of work in = 20/4 = 5 days
