Answer:=  1 / 4 work is completed

Step-by-step explanation:     Work A can do alone = 18 days

Work B can do alone = half of A

= 9 days

(A + B ) 's 1 day work

= 1 / 16 + 1 / 8

= 1 / 16 + 2 / 16

= 1 / 8

In 3 day = 3 * 1 / 8

= 1 / 4 work is completed

Given,

A finished a work in 16 days

Now,

In 16 days = 1 work

so,

In 1 day A can finish 1/16 of a work

ATQ

B can finish 1 work in 8 days

so ,

In 1 day B can finish = 1/8. of a work

Now,

Work done by A+B together in 1 day = 1/16+1/8

= 3/16 days

so in 3/16 days = 1 work

so in 1 day A+B can finish 16/3of a work
