Hey there !

Solution:

Let the total marks be X

So pass mark is 66 % of X

A person gets 262 marks and fails by 200 marks.

So the pass mark is 262 + 200 which is 462 marks.

So 66% of X = 462

=> ( 66 / 100 ) * X = 462

=> 0.66 X = 462 marks

=> X = 462 / 0.66 = 700 marks.

Hence the total number of marks is 700.

Hope my Answer helped !

hi

let the total marks be X

According to the question,

he gets 262 marks but fails by 200

so

pass mark=262+200

= 462

now,

66% of X =462

X = 462*100/66

X= 700 marks

hence the pass mark is 700

hope it is helpful......

thnx
