Let total marks be x

Passing marks = 30/100*x+50.... Equation 1

But its given another candidatescores 45%, gets 25 marks more than passing marks
=>45/100*x-25. Equation 2

Euqating equation 1&2 we get,
=>pasing marks =
30/100*x+50=45/100*x-25
50+25=9/20x- 3/10x
75=3/20x
x=75*20/3
x=500

Total marks=500

Passing marks =30%of X +50
30*500/100+50
150+50
=200

Therefore assing marks is 200
