The Young's modulus of the material of the bar is 4573.33

The length of the candilever is (L) = 50 cm

                                                   = 0.5 m

The breadth of the rectangular cross section candilever is = 3 cm

                                                                                                 = 0.03 m

The thickness is = 0.06 cm

                           = 0.0006 m

So, the area of cross section (A) is = 0.03 × 0.0006 m²

The mass of the weight is = 1 kg

So, the weight is = the force (F) = 1 × 9.8 N

                                                    = 9.8 N

The depression produced is (l) = 4.2 cm

                                                   = 0.042 m

We know, the Young's modulus (Y) = Stress/ Strain

Y = Fl/AL

or, Y = (9.8 × 0.042)/ (0.03 × 0.0006 × 0.5)

or, Y = 0.4116/0.000009

or, Y = 4573.33

The Young's modulus of the material of the bar is 4573.33
